  • Winter Safety Tips for Pets

Winter weather can be beautiful, but it also brings hidden dangers for our furry friends. Keep your pets safe and comfortable this season with these important tips:

    Limit Time Outdoors
Cold temperatures can be just as dangerous for pets as they are for people. Keep outdoor time short, especially for seniors, puppies, and short-haired breeds.

    Protect Paws
Ice, snow, and salt can irritate paw pads. Wipe paws after walks and consider pet-safe booties or paw balm to prevent cracking and burns from de-icers.

    Provide Warm Shelter
Pets should stay indoors during extreme cold. If animals must be outside, ensure they have a dry, insulated shelter with fresh (unfrozen) water.

    Watch Out for Winter Toxins
Antifreeze is extremely toxic to pets, even in small amounts. Clean spills immediately and store chemicals securely.

    Extra Care for Senior Pets
Cold weather can worsen arthritis and joint pain. Provide soft bedding, warm spaces, and shorter, more frequent walks.

A little extra care goes a long way in keeping your pets happy, healthy, and safe all winter long.

Anything is pawsible when we work together!
